Review: ME! Bath Ice Cream

I came across this company about 6 months ago on Facebook (CLICK HERE FOR THEIR PAGE) and I am a total sucker for bath products, especially really cute ones!

I was fortunate enough to be sent a free bath ice cream of my choice and picked the Mint Mojito scent.
Tell me that isn't so cute! It actually looks like a scoop of ice cream! The scent reminded me of the bath products you get in a hotel, which is good because I like the hotel shampoos but it really didn't smell like a mint mojito to me.

All of their products are handcrafted so no two will ever look identical which I love! It melted fast in the bath and right away I could feel the oils released into the water. My skin felt very hydrated and smoothe after my bath.

I would not recommend getting the bath water in your hair or on your face though because of the oils. My bath water turned a very pretty mint green color as the bath ice cream melted.

Overall I am very happy with the product. The bath ice cream are $8.50 each and available on their website HERE.

Daily Product Usage!

Ok so one of my favorite beauty bloggers EVER, Veronika did a really fun post (at least it was fun for me) about how many products you use on a daily basis. As I read through the products she uses on a daily basis, and came to the end results of her using 24 products daily not including tools, I thought it would be fun to think about my daily products.

I know a lot of you don't wash your hair daily, but I find that my hair is VERY greasy after a day, so for me, washing my hair daily is a MUST (Unless I'm in a super rush in which case I use a dry shampoo). So this is my everyday "low maintenance" product list (keep in mind when I go out with my husband on date night or for special events my list goes WAY up!)

Shower:
pantene ice shine shampoo
organix conditioner (either pomegranate green tea, teatree mint, or shea butter, depends on my mood)
Alba botanica pineapple enzyme facial scrub (it's very gentle!)
murad clarifying cleanser
gosmile energizing am toothpaste (YES I brush my teeth in the shower in the am, don't judge)
bath and body works shower gel (I generally have 3-4 different scents in my shower at any given time)

After shower:
clearasil toner
olay pro-x wrinkle smoothing cream
garnier fructis nutrioniste eye cream
burts bees acne solutions spot treatment (cant remember the exact name)
Avon Foot Works Deep Moisture Cream

the body shop body butter in strawberry
solar oil cuticle cream

Hair before styling:
chi silk infusion
sunsilk 24/7 cream
bedhead leave in conditioner
chi 44 iron guard

After styling:
big sexy hair hair spray
guys & gals shine spray (this is from the salon I used to work in, prior to this shine spray I used the mark. by avon shine spray)

Makeup:
tarte clean slate primer
Covergirl clean makeup foundation in classic ivory 110
Covergirl clean pressed powder in natural beige 140
mac mineralize grand duos blush in love rock
mac zoomlash mascara and chanel cils a cils mascara both in black
black liquid eyeliner (cant remember which one im using right now)
burts bees pomegranate chapstick
kevyn aucoin liquid cyber lip gloss in alurabliss

perfume:
right now its ed hardy for women, or miss dior cherie.

So on my easiest days I use a total of: 25 products! That does not include any tools I use like brushes or flatirons, etc.

I hope I'm not the only one (aside from Veronika!) who uses this many products on an easy day!!

OPI Shorts Story

Ok, I got this polish last year from Ulta actually during Mothers Day Weekend. In the bottle it looks like a gorgeous pink cream not nearly as bright as it actually ends up being.

It is officially my newest favorite polish!! Please excuse the rough shape my hands are in! Pretty sure my dogs like the color too (check out the bite marks at the top of the bottle)

This was two coats with no top coat. It reminds me 100% of a Barbie color. I received TONS of compliments on this polish! I can't stand how GORGEOUS this color is! It is part of the 2009 BrightsPair Collection.

Orly - Coffee Break

Please ignore the awful quality of the picture, and how short my pinky nail is, it broke and is still growing out.

This is Orly Coffee Break, I purchased it at Sally Beauty a few days ago and I am in love! I needed a creamy nude/brown color and this one is perfect. It's a perfect cream. No shimmer to it at all. LOVE IT! This is two coats and a coat of Seche Vite (from now on will be referred to as SV)

The application was great, I love the brushes on these, I hate the OPI pro wide brushes, I don't have big nails and it can be hard to paint them with a wide brush.

Small Sally Beauty Haul

A few days ago, my husband and I decided to stop by his parents house to grab his mud tires and my sister in law asked me to go to Sally Beauty with her! Of course I was more than eager to go!

I only got a few things, but I love what I bought!

I ended up buying three new Orly polishes, an ASP two way buffer, and a baked mineral eyeshadow palette.

The three Orly colors I purchased were (L-R) Close your eyes, Coffee Break, Blue Suede.

Close your eyes (in the bottle) looks like a merlot color with red, gold, and bronze shimmer but it's always hard for me to tell until I actually swatch them.

Coffee Break is a GORGEOUS latte nude color, I realized I didn't have one nude polish in my collection, just pale pinks and when I saw this color I immediately thought of my mom (her go to polish color was OPI Mocha Java, or at least thats what she said the name of it was, when she used to have her weekly manicures was before my obsession with lacquer started.)

Blue Suede was on clearance so I had to grab it since it was the last one they had and I don't have any navy blues or suedes. I swatched it on a piece of paper with and without top coat and the color with top coat was a gorgeous teal, without top coat is was a deep navy blue.

Sally Beauty & TJMAXX Haul!

I recently read on another bloggers page that her TJMAXX had a bunch of essie polish clearanced for $.70 each because there was nail polish spilled on them. I decided to stop by my local TJMAXX and see, welllllll, I ended up finding only two essie polishes for $1 each because they were covered in polish, but I needed the colors and I am happy with the purchase. Then another blogger posted that her Sally Beauty had the CG matte top coat for $.99 so I stopped over to mine and was told they had clearanced them and they sold out. So I picked up two polishes I had wanted for a while.

L-R: China Glaze Metallic Muse, China Glaze Watermelon Rind, Essie East Hampton Cottage, Essie It's in the bag.

So I ended up with two (more, I can't stop buying green polishes, I think my count is at like 11 or something now) greens, and two whites. I now have 3 different whites, and they are actually all essie polishes.

I will have swatches soon, my nails all broke down (again) and are finally growing back in so as soon I will prob start swatching this week again.

My First Post!

On this fab new blog!! I had to delete my other nail blog , somehow I messed the whole thing up with the layout or something, there was no way for me to edit it or anything.

I kind of wanted to change the blog around a lot anyway, so I figured I would start fresh!
